This approval marks a significant milestone, making ProBlad™ available for the control of the following crops and fungal diseases in the country:
Open field production
- Strawberry: botrytis, powdery mildew.
- Grapevine: botrytis, powdery mildew.
- Peach, Nectarine, Plum, Cherry (sweet and sour), Apricot: Monilinia, powdery mildew.
- Walnut, Hazelnut, Chestnut: powdery mildew, monilinia (hazelnut only).
Production in greenhouse
- Tomato, Eggplant: botrytis, powdery mildew
- Beans (except climbing), Climbing French bean: botrytis, powdery mildew.
- Leafy brassicas: botrytis, powdery mildew.
- Herb crops botrytis, powdery mildew.
- Cucumber, Zucchini, Melon, Watermelon, Marrow: botrytis, powdery mildew.
- Peppers: botrytis, powdery mildew.
ProBlad™ stands out for its multi-site mode of action, which effectively targets fungal cell walls and disrupts the cell metabolism of harmful fungi. This unique mode of action makes it a powerful tool for maintaining healthy crops throughout their growing cycle. ProBlad™ is also exempt from Maximum Residue Levels (MRLs) and has no established pre-harvest interval (PHI) or re-entry interval (REI). As a result, growers can apply it until the end of the crop cycle without worrying about food contamination risks.
The product will be distributed by Certis Belchim and is also authorized for use in organic farming, making it ideal for growers looking to adopt more sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. By integrating ProBlad™ into Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs, farmers can reduce reliance on traditional chemical fungicides while enhancing yield and crop quality.
